The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context.

      When you complete CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating you will be ready for a certified trade career as a painter and decorator.

      You will gain the knowledge and skills to work with all manner of painting and decorating materials, prepare and protect surfaces, colour match, interpret plans, and apply Work Health and Safety requirements.

    • Prerequisites

      There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, all students will need to demonstrate satisfactory language, literacy and numeracy skills and sufficient physical fitness levels. 

      Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
